Thank you Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!
As you know I have three boys, and I wanted each of their bedrooms to be different and have a different theme in the new house. Bashy’s is more of an adventure theme with a deep green accent wall, Christian’s a sports theme with a wood accent wall, and then there’s Beckham’s room. Hmmm… I was running out of ideas for his room! His room has horizontal skinny lap for his accent wall, and I originally thought it was going to be raw or stained, but the painters accidentally painted it. …so light gray it is! HA! Today, I wanted to share with you one of the boys’ bedroom reveal!
I knew the colors in his room would be black, gray, and accents of olive green. I wanted the room to not be too matchy matchy and instead have a combo of patterns/colors that all coordinate together. I also wouldn’t mind combining the sports, adventure, and vintage vibe for his room. Here are some images I found on Pinterest that caught my eye:

When I find images on Pinterest, it’s usually a starting point for me. Maybe the room will turn out similar to those images and maybe I go a completely different direction. We will see! 😉 I started off with his bed, and the first thing I did was go to Walmart.com because they have affordable and great quality kids’ furniture. I wanted Beckham’s room to feel older and not too kiddish, so I went with this black metal full size bed that’s only $139.97!! I actually had this in Bashy’s bedroom in the last house and it held up so well. You can find a similar metal bed here and more metal kids’ beds here!

The boys made it very clear that they want soft sheets for their beds…pretty much don’t get the linen material. 😉 They love the jersey sheets from Walmart, and I was glad to see that they had an olive colored set which came with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillowcases.
New house means new pillows, so I got two sleeping pillows from Walmart too.

To style it up more, I got these reversible striped throw pillows which also says “beyond blessed” on the other side of the pillows. Beckham loves to play on the Xbox and Nintendo switch, so this glow in the dark game controller pillow was perfect for his room.

When moving into a new house, the last thing you want to do is buy EVERYTHING, so that’s when you “shop” in your own house. This little table is from a Better Homes & Gardens outdoor bistro set that was given to me when I attended the BHG Stylemaker event. We had this bistro set still in the box in our storage while we were building, so opening this up was like Christmas! This side table is the perfect little nightstand for his room!

I placed this black desk lamp on the side table, and I really like how it’s LED and you don’t have to worry about changing the bulb.

I went with a neutral bordered rug, and this beige colored rug warms up his room. It also comes in other colors! I placed his basketballs and footballs in this wire basket, and of course this is a great basket for toys too. These sell out quickly, so here is a great alternative!

In the last house, the kids had a down comforter with a cover, but this time I went with this gray cotton quilt instead for Beckham’s room. Then to have more color and pattern, I added this Your Zone plush blanket at the foot of the bed. You can find so many other kids’ bedding options at Walmart!

I really had no idea what to expect for Beckham’s room, and I LOVE how it turned out! Thank goodness for Walmart! I was able to get that timeless big kid bedroom look for his bedroom. Beckham loves his new room too, and he told his siblings this morning that he has the best bedroom in the house. His older brother had to remind him that his room is the only one decorated right now. 😉 This is only the beginning, I can’t wait to add more stuff to the walls to really make it his own. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and gives you inspo for a boys’ bedroom!

Such a cute room! Can I ask where you found the flags above the bed?

What brand is the blanket? It’s exactly what I need but the link doesn’t bring it up. I was hoping to do a Google search!
