Thank you Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!
I’m so excited for the Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart’s new paint collection! There are so many gorgeous paint colors to choose from! I always gravitate towards the blues, and I have my eye on Skylar Blue, Dew Drop, Serenity, and Cottage Blue. I definitely have to try those out for a future project! For my outdoor dining tablescape and decor, I used two paint colors from the collection for inspiration. I knew I wanted to go for the natural tones, so I had to narrow it down to a white and taupe color.
Here are my picks:
Using those colors, I decorated and styled the outdoor dining area under the deck. Love how it turned out!
I wanted to get a rug to really make this space feel more “at home” and thought this natural diamond rug was perfect. I like incorporating how I would usually decorate inside my house to the outdoors. Adding a rug to an outdoor space makes such a HUGE difference!
I love rattan and wicker, so I kept those textures/materials in mind when working on the tablescape.
My centerpiece was white flowers in ceramic basket pots and placed them on the jute runner.
This stoneware dinnerware and black flatware are our everyday dishes and silverware.
I have so many trays at home, but this woven tray is one of my favorites. It goes so well with my coastal farmhouse style!
Items in the tray like this pitcher, salt and pepper shaker, and glasses are all Better Homes & Gardens products. I actually got these glasses from the Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker event this year!
The kids were swimming when I was taking pictures, and they were most excited about the donut cake! I love the simplicity of the cake stand. I’ll definitely be using this for future kids’ birthdays. The donut cake is our family’s birthday breakfast tradition.
We’ve been using this bowl set for snacks since it comes with lids. If you’re entertaining, just set them out, and when you’re done just put the lids back on.
The outdoor dining chairs are currently out of stock, but make sure you sign up for the in-stock alert! These are outdoor chairs, but you can also have these indoors as normal dining chairs. We had something similar in our dining room at the old house.
The finishing touches were the outdoor lanterns. Even though I went with the neutrals, picking out different textures is key. What do you think of the finished look? Hope this blog post gave you some inspiration for your outdoor dining space!
