Screened In Porch Ready For Summer {Niña Williams Blog}
This post is sponsored by Brooke & Lou, but all ideas and opinions is my own.
Every year, I try to change up my screened in porch area. Usually I change out the pillows, decor on the coffee table/side table, rug, and lanterns. This year, my inspiration for this space were these lemon pillows by Brooke & Lou! I’ve always been a fan of Bria Hammel Interiors, and she’s the genius behind Brooke & Lou. All the items in Brooke & Lou is classic and timeless…perfect for every home.
Iowa weather can’t make up its mind. The past couple weeks it’s been so nice, but now it’s rainy and a little chilly. I styled this space thinking of summer. I love how the yellows can make any room more “happy” and “fun.”
I always feel that blue is a great neutral color and that’s why I paired the yellow with blue accents.
That “gather” sign is the perfect sign for this space. During the spring and summer months, our family and friends love to gather around this area while our kids are playing outside.
I’ve had this patio furniture set for a few years now and this has held up so well! Also, this set can go with any style. If you have a modern style or even a coastal farmhouse style like myself, this would be perfect in your space. (furniture set is currently 20% off using code “20OUTDOOR”)
The very first time I styled this space a few years ago, I had a colorful rug. This time around I went with a neutral jute rug. I feel like if you go neutral, you can do a lot more with accent colors!
Doesn’t these yellow tulips look so real? I have 2 other colors…can you tell I’m obsessed? 😉 Instead of spending money, I usually shop my house first which pretty much means I take stuff from other rooms or from my decor closet/storage. I move things around from room to room and it changes up the look without spending money. Most of these items I’ve had in the living room, pantry, dining room, and now the screened in porch.
The Brooke & Lou “Fresh Squeezed” pillow comes in 2 sizes and 2 other colors, light blue and blush.
I love how the space turned out! You can shop all items from this blog post below!

Love the summer-ready look of your screened-in porch, Niña! Your mix of lemony brightness with blue accents is spot on – it’s given me some great ideas for clients looking for a fresh, vibrant vibe. Your approach to reusing decor from around the house is so resourceful and inspiring for anyone looking to update their space on a budget!
