Sharing our outdoor fire pit furniture from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart!
I wish the Iowa weather would match the spring season because it’s still chilly here. I’ve never been so excited for summer…pool parties, tv/movies outside, outdoor dinners, and s’mores by the firepit! Last year, we had three benches around the fire pit. Only a couple people could fit on each bench, so I knew we needed different furniture for the fire pit area. From the very beginning, I really wanted outdoor sofas. I wanted the fire pit area to be a space where we can all hang out all night and be comfortable. It’s like you’re bringing the comfort of your living room outside.
I like creating mood boards to get an idea of what patio furniture and decor I want to get. Of course, my color combos are blue, white, and brown. So pretty right?!

Patio Furniture
When Better Homes & Gardens photographed at my house for their 2022 outdoor collection, I fell in love with the 5 piece River Oaks wicker set. They had this set right by our pool and also under the pergola, and I knew I had to get it for myself! I wanted to purchase this last year, but it sold out. I can see why everyone wanted it…has a great rating with over 400 reviews! Here are the final images from their website:

I’m pretty picky on the color of the outdoor patio furniture I purchase, and I like how the River Oaks set has a lighter wicker color. The vibe I’m going for in my outdoor space is light bright and coastal like you’re at the Hamptons, so this is perfect. When I was ready to order, I noticed that the River Oaks set could be purchased as a 3 piece set with a sofa and nesting tables and also as a 2 piece set with swivel gliders. I ended up going with two sets of sofa and nesting tables and one set of swivel chairs.

This setup is not going to stay like this. Instead of the swivel chairs on the left and right side of the fire pit, it’s going to be a sofa on one side and another sofa on the other side. Both swivel chairs are supposed to be where the sofa is. You’re probably wondering where the other sofa is…well, it gets windy where we live, and I didn’t realize we lost one of the back sofa cushions until I was ready to photograph. Yes, I’m still looking for it! 🙁

You can see the other sofa on the left side of this image below. I had to move it to the far left, so it wasn’t in my view when photographing. 🙂

Pillows and Blanket
I like having outdoor pillows and throw blankets on our patio furniture because it makes it feel cozy. The comfort of being inside the house can be moved outdoors. It gets chilly at night, so it’s nice to have a blanket out here!

S’mores
I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot of s’mores nights. Usually I place everything on a tray, but this time I put in this basket. I had the graham crackers and chocolate pieces in glass jars and four different types of marshmallows directly in the basket. Doing it this way is a lot more convenient and doesn’t take up a lot of space!

Blue is my accent color outside (and inside), and I like doing different shades of blue for pillows! Lanterns, plants, outdoor umbrella, and a rug are great decor pieces you can add to your outdoor space to make it feel more inviting and cozy.

I’ll have to do another photo shoot of this space when the grass is green, the pool is open, and trees and plants are bloomed! Stay tuned! 🙂
