Thank you Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!
In today’s blog post, I’m so happy to reveal our fire pit in the new house! The fire pit was completed just in time for this fall blog post. š Thank you to Ripke Lawn and Landscape for making it happen! Iāll go more into detail on the fire pit process in a different blog post, but here are some images of the beginning stages. In the image below, you can see the fire pit area which is past the pool. Here you can see the pavers are down for this area, but the fire pit hasn’t been put together yet.
Now you can see the fire pit taking shape! It’s not completely done in this image because we were still waiting on the capstone on the top, rocks in the insert, and the brick for the surround.
Here’s the reveal! The only thing that still needs to happen is limewashing the brick base. It’s definitely fine without the limewash, but this mama needs a pop of white in this area. š
I remember when I was showing the kids this area earlier this year, and Johannah said that we should get matching furniture for this space. She made a comment that if we didn’t do that, then there’s going to be a variety of random outdoor folding chairs. I think she had her aunt’s Iowa Hawkeye black and yellow lawn chair in mind when she said this. š We have a future decorator because I was definitely thinking like her! When I saw these Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart white benches online, I knew it would be perfect around the fire pit! I love the look of white furniture in an outdoor space, so these benches definitely caught my eye! This bench also comes in black which I used for Cecilia’s front porch.
Originally, I was thinking of putting Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, but I love how you can cuddle up on these benches. I’m just thinking about Nick and me! Ha! I also like how we can fit more people especially kids on these benches instead of each person having a chair.
My fall decor must-haves are mums and white pumpkins. I prefer the magenta and white mums, and I was so glad that Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart had these mums in-store at the garden center. I didn’t have to transfer these mums to a pot because the base looked like it was in a wood pot already. Less work for me!
I’m bummed we never got to enjoy the fire pit during the summer months, but I know we’ll be using the fire pit a lot during the fall season! A soft throw blanket is necessary for this space, and you guys know that I’m obsessed with these plush blankets. I have six of these in different patterns!
My kids love s’mores, so they were so excited to finally use the new fire pit and roast some marshmallows!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post of the fire pit area decorated for fall! I love how it turned out! So many memories will be made here around the fire during the cooler months.
