Sharing an outdoor dining summer tablescape!
We’re finally getting good weather here in Iowa! I’m ready for all the summer things like outdoor dining, pool parties, sitting around the fire pit, watching movies outside, and the list goes on! Last year, we had this outdoor dining table on our deck, but then moved it downstairs once our pool was open. We recently moved it back to our deck, and it’s here to stay! Sometimes we want to eat outside, but don’t want to carry all the food, dinnerware, flatware, and glasses downstairs. This is right outside our living room, and it’s the perfect spot for an outdoor table!
Outdoor Dining Chairs
I was SO excited to see the new Dave and Jenny Marrs collection with Better Homes & Gardens! There were a lot of beautiful pieces from this collection, and I wanted to get it all! I ended up going with the braided wicker outdoor chairs from their collection which comes in a set of two and includes the chair cushions. I prefer having end chairs different from the rest of the dining chairs. It gives your dining space a whole new look!
dinnerware
How adorable are these bamboo melamine plates and bowls in faux brown wood pattern?! These are eco-friendly and also come in a pretty soft sea green color. I debated whether to get the sea green color, but I couldn’t pass up the faux wood ones! These will match any occasion. 😉
napkins
One of my favorite patterns are stripes, and these striped napkins matched the dinnerware and floral centerpiece colors perfectly.
serveware
This ribbed cake dome caught my eye at the store because the label said it’s multi-functional. It can be used as a covered divided serve tray, cake stand, chip & dip server, punch bowl, and as a footed serve bowl!

You might think that a pillow on an outdoor dining chair or having an outdoor rug isn’t necessary, but I’m telling you it is! Ha! I like to replicate how I decorate inside to my outdoor space. Adding a rug and pillows makes it feel so much more inviting and cozy.
I have a feeling we’ll be using this space a lot this summer. Enjoying dinner outside with this view is exactly what I had envisioned when we built this house. Dreams do come true!
