Outdoor dining makeover

Thank you Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart for sponsoring this post!

Last month, I created an outdoor zen space for Cecilia, my twin sister. Well, I didn’t show you guys the other side of the deck, but they have an outdoor dining table and chairs there. It’s so plain that I made sure to cut that out of the images. 😉 This month, I wanted to do an outdoor dining makeover at Cecilia’s house. Summer is around the corner, so why not decorate this space for her! Here is an image of her family last year enjoying dinner outside. As you can see, there’s not much to this space.

She actually didn’t know that I was going to decorate this area until I showed up with the stuff! Cecilia has a modern eclectic style, so I knew black, whites, and touches of green would go well out here. Anything black and white she’s good with, and I’m so glad Better Homes and Gardens has modern decor products!

First up is the rug. If you want to have your space feel more cozy and welcoming, add a rug. You might not think you need a rug under a table or patio furniture, but it’s going to make a huge difference once you add it. I couldn’t pass up this particular rug because it’s black and white and the price was just right. This 6.5′ x 9.5′ rug is only $77!

Okay now on to the centerpiece! I wanted to go simple and low maintenance, so I went with these small and medium sized lanterns as the base. Then I added these three faux succulents . I know for a fact Cecilia doesn’t have a green thumb, so I made sure to get faux plants. 😉

As you know, I like adding throw pillows at the end chairs of any table, indoor or outdoor. It just finishes off the space! I went with these outdoor ivory tassel pillows . It’s neutral which can go with any decor and even though it’s one solid color, the textures of it makes it eye catching.

What do you guys think of this Cecilia’s outdoor dining makeover?! Cecilia loves it, and I think it turned out so good!

Where are the chairs from? Or can you link similar ones? Thank you!
