Thank you Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!
A few weeks ago was the Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker event, and I always look forward to this event every year. This was their 10th anniversary, and I’ve had the pleasure of being a Stylemaker for 3 years! This event is usually in New York, but it was virtual this year. Here is an image of Cecilia and me on the first day of the event before listening to the speakers.

I like to describe my style as soft and airy with neutrals and pastel colors. Sometimes I try to step out of my style, but I would still gravitate back to my original decorating tips of using light colors, soft blues, neutrals, brass, and rattan/wicker. I love the whitewashed look of wood or any decor piece, but if I do go with a darker wood, I like to still incorporate the light colors, blues, neutrals, brass, and rattan/wicker. I wanted to show you how to get a neutral and cozy master bedroom like mine!

1. Pillows, pillows, and more pillows
I like having 3 rows of pillows on my bed. The bigger ones in the back and a smaller or oblong one in the front. I went with the striped euro pillows in the back, gray fringe pillows in the middle, and textured oblong pillow in the front. Pillows are great to add texture and color to a space, and I went with grays and neutrals for my bedroom!

2. Add blanket(s)
I like adding a blanket at the end of the bed, and this is another way to add color and texture to your bed. In this room, I focused on the grays, whites, and creams. To bring in more of the gray, I went with this waffle weave gray blanket. Then I placed a faux fur blanket to make this space feel even cozier.

3. Tray
I love adding trays on top of the bed because this gives you an area to place your book, magazines, food, and drinks. This is perfect if you decide to work from your bed or you just want to enjoy that cup of coffee and read a magazine/devotional before you get up for the day. Here I have the bed tray with some decor, magazines, and bowl and mug from this stoneware set.

4. End of the bed seating
I like to have something on the floor at the end of the bed. That could be a bench, stools, or as shown floor pillows!

5. Picture frames
My answer to fill up any wall space is picture frames! If you’re debating what to do with that plain wall, get your family pictures printed out (instead of having them on your computer/phone) and buy some picture frames to create a gallery wall! These gold picture frames remind me a lot of the brass frames I had in my old living room…and these are a better price!! I’m going to get 3 more and place one more row in the bottom.

6. Lanterns
You should know by now that I love decorating with lanterns! I put these everywhere…and why not by your nightstand? I love getting different sizes to have that height variety. The bigger wood lantern comes in 3 sizes, and the smaller lantern comes in 2 sizes.

7. Decor
Don’t forget to style your nightstand! I love adding candles because it smells good and comes in different colors and styles. You can also add florals, books, and lamps!

Did this blog post give you the motivation to decorate your own room? I hope these tips help you achieve a neutral and cozy bedroom!
