For Father’s Day, the kids and I gave Blaine tickets to the USA Mens Soccer game vs. Panama in Kansas City. Great job, kids! 🙂 I know it was a Father’s Day gift, but if we took the kids, I don’t think Blaine would have been able to focus on the game as well. Therefore we made it as a mommy & daddy date trip!
I’m so used to taking pics of the kids, but as you can see below that this time it’s a bunch of pictures of food, drinks, buildings, and the hubby & me!
Before the game we went to Yard House for some drinks! This mango mojito was to die for!! My red, white, & blue. They won! Blaine didn’t want to leave! After the game, we wanted some dessert but all the restaurants were closed. What do we do in this crisis? Head to 7-eleven and bought some ice cream! The next day, we wanted to explore Kansas City. Our first stop was the Workhouse Castle which was originally a prison. I tried to lock the hubby in there. Kidding! The next stop was checking out Long’s property now owned by Kansas City. We felt like true tourists. We walked the whole block just to read info about it. Then we checked out Cliff Drive, and Blaine had to show off his guns. Our next stop was Cellar & Wine…talk about getting a good buzz! I didn’t do much listening in history class in school but obviously Blaine did. We did a lot of history talking during lunch. As I get older, it definitely interests me!That night, we went to downtown Kansas City and went to the Power & Light District.
Dinner at Bristol was AH-MAZING! Our service was superb too. Our night ended with going back to wait for it….the Yard House. 🙂 I had to get that mango mojito again and that fresh baked brownie was soooo good. I ate the whole thing, and I have no shame!
