If you’re from Iowa, I’m sure you’ve heard of Homemakers, but if you haven’t, it’s the store you would go to if you’re looking for home decor and furniture. Their showroom is HUUGE! They also have a Starbucks there, so you can enjoy a drink while shopping. 😉 We went to Homemakers after we built our last house for living room furniture. That’s where we got our first set of sofas once we moved in.
Eventually we swapped that out with a sectional from their outlet area:
Every season, they showcase a ton of home decor items, and here’s a blog post of their holiday decor a few years ago. A lot of you enjoyed my Instagram stories of the holiday store tour last month! I love how they had Christmas decor for every style…traditional, glam, rustic, and boho.
Today I wanted to show you my master bedroom fireplace decorated with items that I got! The fireplace actually isn’t done yet. The part below the shiplap is only drywall right now, and it will eventually be gray concrete! Can’t wait until that’s done!
I love the color tones of the trees! I usually gravitate towards the traditional red with flocked trees for holiday decor, but there was something about the emerald green, mustard, navy, and gold tones that I fell in love with at Homemakers!
I love this wool garland, and I will definitely use this all year! It goes perfectly with this plaid gray and forest green pillow. Stay tuned for another shopping trip with me at Homemakers in January! I want to show you furniture and home decor pieces that I have my eye on for the new house.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!! We were really hoping to be in the house by Christmas, but that didn’t happen. We are SOO close though!
Rachel
If you ever want to sell these I’m your girl. Seriously. 🤗
