Guest bedroom tips with serena & lily

Thank you Serena & Lily for sponsoring this post!

We love getting visitors! We have friends and family visiting us from eastern Iowa, and I’m so excited to have them stay at our new house once it’s all done. The guest bedroom in the new house will be in the basement, and the guest bathroom will be right around the corner. We’ve decided to do bunkbeds with a queen bed in there, so then our guest with kids can all be in one room. I also envision friends’ sleepovers to be in there too. On today’s blog post I wanted to give you some guest bedroom and bathroom tips!

Before I talk about those tips, I wanted to let you know that Serena & Lily is having their Sleep Well Event where you can enjoy 30% off beds and bedding. If you’ve been wanting to do a guest bedroom refresh, definitely check out their website! Since our house isn’t close to being done, I’m decorating Cecilia’s master bathroom and our bedroom in the rental.

This blush color will be perfect for a guest bedroom or even a little girls’ bedroom

I’m definitely going to be stepping up my game for the guest bedroom and guest bathroom. Trying to think of it like they’re staying at a hotel! Here are my tips for the guest bathroom:

  1. Put plenty of bath towels and washcloths in there
  2. Have extra toothpaste/toothbrush/mouthwash/floss/lotion in case they forgot theirs
  3. Have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower
  4. Have plenty of toilet paper in the bathroom…how awkward to ask for more toilet paper. HA!

I love the the combo of the blush striped hand towels and soft blue washcloths!

Okay now for some guest bedroom tips:

  1. Make the room bright, inviting, and relaxing
  2. Plenty of pillows and blankets
  3. Have a phone charger already in place…put your initials on it so they don’t steal it. HA!
  4. The question we get a lot is what’s the wifi password, so have that already written down for them in the room.
  5. Small basket of snacks and water bottles in case they get hungry or thirsty…I haven’t been doing this, so this is where I need to step up my game!

You guys know how I love blues and white!
