diy | yarn/nail heart art

I’ve been wanting to do something on the right side of the TV but could never figure out what.  I didn’t know whether to purchase a large canvas painting or paint myself,  purchase multiple canvases of images on each of them, or figure out a unique diy project.  Well, I decided to do a diy project.  I already had some yarn that went with our living room (white with speckles of teal and yellow) so I actually had everything I needed at home for this project!

My supplies:
pencil
hammer
nails
yarn

I marked where I wanted the center of the heart will be.  I just guessed by eye where to place the nails on one 1 side of the heart.  On the other side, I made sure I did the same distance from each nail to the center line exactly like the side I had already done.  I started on the bottom of the heart and tied a double knot to secure.  Then I started looping the yarn around every nail.  I did this randomly!  After about 10 min later of looping, I did another double knot to a nail with the other end of the yarn.  🙂
