Johannah has been patiently waiting for me to decorate her room. She would ask me constantly when it was her turn. š The whole time I planned on having wallpaper for her accent wall. I even had her pick some out, but then I showed her a picture of a collage wall, and we were both in love! Johannah will be 13 next year, so I wanted her room to feel more grown-up…a teen bedroom. I’m hoping that we don’t have to change it when she’s in high school!

This is what it looks like now! What a difference! The bed, pillows, throw blanket, and floor cushions are all from Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart!
BED FRAME
Since the collage wall is busy, I wanted her bed to be simple. That’s why I went with this white metal bed that’s only $159! This is actually the same bed that’s in Beckham’s bedroom except his is black.
PILLOWS
As mentioned before, the collage wall is busy, so I went simple and neutral for her bedding and pillows too. Even though it’s all the same color, I made sure to do different textured pillows. One pillow is waffle weaved, the other is tufted loop, and the one in the front is tufted trellis.
THROW BLANKET
Similar to the pillows, I went neutral with a texture. This one is faux fur, and it’s so soft!
FLOOR CUSHIONS
You know how I’m obsessed with floor pillows/cushions! I even have some in my bedroom. I like having something at the end of the bed, so if you don’t have a bench, ottoman, or chairs, put some floor cushions there! These floor cushions in her bedroom come in various colors, and I went with a neutral-colored one. It looks so cozy in her room!
What do you think of Johannah’s teen bedroom?! She loves it, and I love it! There are still things I want to do in her bedroom like add a rug and hang her swing chair, so stay tuned. š
