It was a last minute decision to do this particular teachers’ gift, but it turned out pretty dang cute! Three of my favorite things…seagreen color, glass jar, and succulents! I actually wanted to keep it for myself š
Supplies:
– chalk paintĀ (Michael’s)
– small mason jars (Michael’s)
– succulents + potting soil (Ace Hardware)
– tags (Target One SpotĀ area)
– paint scraper or sandpaper
– paint brush
– twine
Step 1:
Apply 1 coat of chalk paint to mason jars,Ā let it dry, and thenĀ apply a 2nd coat of chalk paint.
Step 2:
Once mason jars are completely dry, fill each mason jar half way with potting soil. Ā Then, pull out the succulent, crumble the succulent soil, and place the succulent into the mason jar. Ā Lastly,Ā fill more potting soil into the mason jars around the the succulent.
Step 3:
Grab a paint scraper (or sandpaper), and scrape the chalk paint while turning the mason jars to get a distressed/antique look.
Step 4:
Write a message on the tag, and wrap it around the mason jar using twine.
There you have it folks! š Ā The perfect teachers’ gifts!
