Yesterday as I was in my closet figuring out what to wear, my 2 year old son (Lennon) looks at me and asks “Mommy, are you a queen?” Now, what would you say if your child asked you this? I guess I could have said no. I don’t own a crown, have “Queen” in front of my name, or live in a ginormous castle.
I did it though. I said, “Yes…I’m your queen, and you are my prince charming.” He just smiled and gave me a hug. In this little boy’s eyes, I am a role model. I am someone he respects. I am confident. I am someone he runs to for help, for guidance, and importantly, I am someone who gives him love. Therefore, yes I am his Queen, and today and everyday, I will wear my invisible crown proudly! 🙂
