Thank you Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!
I was telling my twin sister, Cecilia, where I planned on putting my outdoor dining table which will be under the deck by the pool house. She asked me why I wasn’t putting one on our deck which is right off of the living room. I’m glad she mentioned something because she had a valid point. It would be nice to bring dinner outside and not walk too far. We can just take a few steps outside from the living room onto the deck and have dinner there. With the help of Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart products, I was able to complete this outdoor dining space! Here’s the view when standing in the living room:

I’m a tad obsessed with bistro chairs…that’s the coastal style in me. š These come as a set of two and in two other colors! I went back and forth on whether to do blue or cream, but decided on cream because I can see these in my formal dining room too!

I love adding pillows on the end chairs of a dining space. It gives it that cozy vibe and adds color/texture depending on the pillow. I wanted to keep this space pretty neutral, so these striped tassel pillows were perfect. Can you believe these are outdoor pillows?!

Lanterns are a must for me when decorating an outdoor space. This is also great when you want some lighting at night. You can easily turn these on for that nostalgic feel. I placed the rattan lanterns on the ground and the white metal ones as part of the centerpiece.

Now onto plants! I like to keep my plants either in the blue, purple, or neutral color scheme. Those are the colors I gravitate towards. š Since I’m sticking to neutrals for this space, I decided to go with the Dusty Miller Cineraria plants when I was at the Walmart Garden Center. I love the silvery frosted green tone of these plants, and I bought enough for two of the 6″ savona ceramic planter and two of the 6″ ceramic basket pots.

I placed two on the table as part of the centerpiece and two on the ground.

My kids and I are SO excited to start having pool parties and celebrating their birthdays this summer since last year we never got to. My kids’ favorite party drink is this Sprite and sherbet combo. We used Sprite and raspberry sherbet, but you can use 7up and any flavor sherbet.
Kids Favorite Party Drink
- 2 Liters of Sprite or 7up
- Any flavor sherbet

It’s super simple. All you do is combine the two ingredients. Here we poured it into this glass dispenser.

For the adults, you can serve Bloody Mary’s! You can use this Bloody Mary 10 piece set for your party.

There’s a Bloody Mary recipe in the BHG website if you don’t have one, but Nick and I like getting the Mr & Mrs T Bloody Mary Mix and adding alcohol, pepper, and Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce.

Whether we’re having a party or just a family dinner outdoors, it’s nice to have trays to easily carry food, plates, utensils, kitchen towels, and napkins. If you’re running out of space on the table, you can easily set these on an outdoor pouf.

I was so excited to see that Walmart had these rustin stoneware dinnerware set…check out those bowls!

There’s no need to pour fruits/vegetables in a bowl after washing/draining it when you have this cute colander! This comes in a set of two, and pictured is the smaller one.

This ceramic tabletop torch is a must especially when you’re outside in the midwest. The last thing you want to deal with is mosquitos while eating your food.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! It definitely takes awhile to have your house feel like “home” especially after moving in, but having this outdoor dining space makes it feel more like home.
