Walmart+

Thank you Walmart, one of my favorite brands, for sponsoring this post!

Do you know what I love? Anything that can make my life easier! Life is busy right now with four kids, (school and all their activities), building a house, owning a cidery, and working as a blogger. Life is even crazier when you add COVID to the mix. Thank goodness Walmart now has a new membership program called Walmart+!

For $98/year, one of the benefits is that you get free unlimited deliveries (your order must be at least $35 and other restrictions may apply), and this can be groceries and other items. I remember when Nick and I first got married with no kids, going to the grocery store together was actually pretty fun. Pushing the cart through the aisles, taking your time, gazing into each other’s eyes (ha!)….fast forward to today, now everyone tries to get in and out of stores as quickly as possible. I already use Walmart’s grocery pickup, but delivery to my house without me getting in my car? Yes, please! I love how the kids can even help me pick out groceries in the comfort of our own home.

There are numerous times when we would run out of necessities like milk, toilet paper, dog treats, butter, or school snacks/lunch items that they need the next day. I would dread having to leave the house to pick those up. Now I can just order those using my phone and get it delivered to me as soon as the same day. There are different timeslots you can select, so you have options if you want it delivered on a specific day/time. You have to spend at least $35 on each order if you want to have items delivered (and other restrictions may apply), but that’s never a problem for me!

Once you place your order, you get notified on when the driver is picking up your order, when they’re on the way to your house, and also when they arrive. I always click the option to have them leave all the items at the door instead of having contact. It’s safer for us and for them!

Also with the membership, you save 5 cents per gallon on fuel at Walmart and Murphy gas stations. The best part is that you don’t even need to touch the screen at the gas pump. You scan a QR code that appears on the pump screen, and then you select your grade and begin fueling. Genius!

The last benefit for the membership is their new mobile scan and go feature. I actually haven’t tried this, but I’m definitely doing this the next time I’m in the store. You open up the Walmart app on your phone and scan the items you put in your cart. When you do this, it adds up your items for you in real-time. Then when you’re done shopping, you just head to the self-checkout area and scan your QR code to finalize your payment! Again, genius!

I recommend trying Walmart+ for yourself!  They have a free 15-day trial, but I have a feeling you’ll get hooked. 😉  I’m all about making my life easier, and this is one of them that does!
