As a parent especially being a SAHM, I feel like I’m always cleaning up & picking up messes. Tell me I’m not the only one! I probably say out loud “what a mess” multiple times a day…everyday. From the spills from the darn sippy cup that wasn’t twisted tight enough…food in various places since it didn’t make it in their small mouths…the gyro bowl not doing it’s job…to Mariah pooping up the back of her outfit.
The biggest mess of all is always the living room! It’s a constant mess especially after lots of reading, playing, & imaginations in full force. In 4 short hours (or sometimes long hours if I didn’t get much sleep the night before), it goes from tidy to “what a mess!” Here’s a general timeline:9:30am – still all nice and tidy10:15am – have already gotten into some toys11:45am – train action with books as railroad tracks12:30pm – wrestling & ring around the rosie12:50pm – Lennon napping & quiet time for Hendrix1:20pm – Everyone is napping so time for me to pick up the mess, sit on my butt, relax, eat lunch, and watch some reality shows on my DVR.
As much as I hate cleaning up messes, I love seeing my kids laughing, making memories, having the time of their life EVERY.SINGLE.DAY in the mess they’re creating in the living room. 🙂
