Let It Snow

I’ve been just waiting and waiting for the perfect snow fall plus a nice temp to take pictures of the kiddos. The day finally came! I actually didn’t even know it was supposed to snow until I got an automated 2 hr delay voicemail from the school. I looked outside Beckham’s window (he has the best view) and just saw how gorgeous it looked out there with the snow on the tree branches. Fresh soft snow!

After breakfast, I thought why not attempt some quick pics of the kids. It was so nice that I didn’t have to worry about getting the right coordinating outfits since I knew they were just going to be bundled up in coats, hats, and scarves!

Beckham was mesmerized by the snow, and all he wanted to do was look down! Taking individual pics of him was the most enjoyable for me 😉 He loved the snow!

NOTE: I think some of you might be surprised that these were not taken by my “big dog” DSLR camera (Canon 5d Mark iii). These were actually taken by my Fuji X-T1 mirrorless camera! These were taken with the new lens my hubby got me for Christmas too! Love him 😉 I love using the Fuji X-T1 for my “everyday” moments, and love how small it is compared to my “big dog” camera.

Sorry, just saw your comment! I have the 23mm, and I love it!…that’s the one that I just got. I also have the 35mm, but I didn’t care too much for that one because it took forever to focus. That’s a major disadvantage when photographing kids that are always on the move! Which lens do you have???

Ah nice! I also have the 35mm – not too impressed with it either. And the 14mm. I have a x100s too, though and I LOVE the 23mm focal length on that.

Oh you’ll love the 23mm then on the xt1! Just curious, which camera do you use the most?…the x100s or the xt1? I was originally going to get the x100s, but then the xt1 came out. Of course I got the xt1 since the reviews were too good to pass up!
