Making air fryer pretzel bites!
My kids are OBSESSED with pretzels / pretzel bites. If we’re at the mall, we have to stop at Auntie Anne’s for some pretzel bites, and if we’re out to eat at a restaurant, they ask if we could get pretzels as an appetizer. I just got the Beautiful 9QT Air Fryer from Walmart, and the first recipe I wanted to try was this air fryer pretzel bites recipe!
AIR FRYER RECIPE - prep
As you know, I buy my groceries from Walmart (love using my Walmart+ membership). It’s so convenient to order through the app and get it delivered to my doorstep. If I can get the private label version of an ingredient/food item, I order those. You get the same quality while spending less. Also, it tastes the same as the name-brand ones!
Walmart shares a bunch of recipes on its website, and the air fryer recipe I used can be found here. This recipe is considered “easy” because you use pizza crust for the pretzels!
You slice the pizza crust the short and long way, and then roll them up in balls.
Then you boil some water and add baking soda. You put the pizza crust balls into the water for a little bit, and then brush it with egg wash.
using the air fryer
Time to use the air fryer! I ended up getting the 9Qt one instead of the 6QT because this would work better for my family of six.
finished air fryer pretzel bites
We did one batch sprinkled with salt paired with cheese dip, and the other one rolled in butter, sugar, and cinnamon paired with frosting dip. So easy to make!
Let me know if you end up making these!
