It was our first Easter at the new house, and around 10pm the night before I was asking Nick where the Easter baskets were. Nick had no idea, so I went on Pinterest and looked up Easter basket alternatives. I saw this candy basket one from The Krazy Coupon Lady which looked super easy to do. I usually go all out for Easter, but not this year! For their Easter baskets, I decided to do that candy basket, fill some eggs with dollar bills, and get a favorite drink of theirs. The only thing we did have for the baskets were 2 outdoor games that Nick got at the store a few days ago. Thank goodness for Shipt that was able to do a 6-7am delivery to our house on Easter morning. Yes, I was totally ordering the candy for the baskets, some eggs, 2 dog toys, and drinks at midnight on the Shipt app!
They each got five $1 bills, their favorite candy, and their favorite drink.
Then it was time to get ready for church! We have been live streaming the 9:30am Lutheran Church of Hope service at the Winterset Cidery, and it’s been so nice to “go” to church.
We hope to have the church service outdoors when the cidery opens in May!
After church, we cooked the food we were supposed to bring to my mom’s. Before driving to Pella, we quickly took some family pictures.
We always have a ton of food at family gatherings!…mix of American and Filipino food.
Egg hunt for the younger kids.
My mom and the grandkids (missing 4).
My mom and sisters.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter
