Nina and I are identical twins. We’re practically the same person. We look alike. We talk alike. We like the same things but we voted for 2 different candidates on Election Day. We don’t agree on everything a candidate supports, but we do have certain topics that are more important to us than others which caused the different vote. We were up until they announced the president. We were completely exhausted yesterday. We have talked about politics way too much with each other in the last 2-3 days. If you know us, this may come as a complete shocker.
I wanted to know her views and she wanted to know mine. There was no name calling. There was no hatred. We agreed to disagree. I voted. She voted. We did our part. At the end of the day, everyone will have different views. I hope you can all still wake up though and be proud we all live in this country. From a family that used to live in the Philippines, being in America is very much still freedom. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Praying for peace, calm, and hope for many. xx
