Time to catch up on blogging!! Nina and I celebrated our 33rd birthday in January. How did it go, you ask?
I got woken up to the kids and the hubby singing happy birthday with my favorite Starbucks drink and handwritten cards from the kids and one from Blaine…Nick had the living room & kitchen all cleaned for us stay at home moms…dance party with the kids…a bouquet of white roses when Blaine came home from work…double date night with Niña & Nick at Lurra Cocina and Nick surprised me with a GoPro (yup, you read that right!!)…then went to Starbucks with the hubs and enjoyed a birthday cake pop before picking up the kids at the sitters. The icing on the cake was reading all of your birthday wishes & texts. Wow…Thank-you!! Now to celebrate some more because well… It’s my birthday weekend! ? #cheersto33 #bestbirthdayever #spoiled
Now the non rainbows and unicorns moments of my birthday. That is why….Don’t ever compare your life by what people post on social media!! As I was walking down the steps with my Starbucks drink in one hand while carrying Mariah and holding Lennon’s hand with the other hand, I fell down a couple steps because I slipped on Nina’s phone that was laying on the stairs. She’s trying to kill me! ?Thankfully, no one got hurt, but I did lose most of my birthday drink, got drenched (thank goodness I got a cold beverage), and since it scared the crap out of Lennon and Mariah both kids were bawling. Lennon was whining all morning for no reason. Hearing a kid whining is like nails on a chalkboard for parents. Didn’t he get the memo it was my birthday?! Nina and I yelled at each other a couple times because we can annoy the crap out of each other even on our birthday. Even with these moments, the good times totally outnumbered the not so good times like everyday life. It was an amazing birthday in the books! #reallife #awkwardhandposition
Niña and I are lucky enough to get a birthday weekend. See next post for Day 2!
